• Heritage Estate Services can help you with structuring and drafting a Will subject to final legal review (we do not provide legal advice).

Are your affairs in order?

• It is also important that your Executor has the information necessary to perform their duties.
• Heritage Estate Services has developed My Heritage for your use. My Heritage is a publication that will guide you through the recording of information to help your Executor. The booklet is available free of charge through our office. An electronic version may be downloaded below.
• If your pre-arranged funeral with Heritage includes Alphacare, we will store your completed My Heritage booklet in safekeeping at no charge. It will only be released to you or your Executor.

Funeral Pre-Planning

• Another way you may ease the burden for your Executor and family members is to pre-plan your funeral. Not only will it give peace of mind to your family but your last wishes will be recorded in detail.
• In Ontario, the cost of your pre-arranged funeral is guaranteed if it is pre-paid.
• Heritage Estate Services has experts in funeral pre-planning. There is no charge for this service if the funeral is pre-planned with Heritage Funeral Centre.
• Heritage Estate Services will ensure your pre-paid funeral qualifies as an Eligible Funeral Arrangement for income tax purposes. No income tax is payable on the interest earned by an Eligible Funeral Arrangement.
